The Dream Realization Lab (DRL) serves as a central hub for product design, prototyping, and manufacturing support within Dhahran Techno Valley Company (DTVC). It enables innovators, startups, researchers, and industrial partners to transform creative ideas into commercially viable products through practical engineering, technical expertise, and hands-on prototyping capabilities.

At DRL, we bridge the gap between concept and market by offering integrated support in Design for Manufacturing and Assembly (DFMA), Lean Product Development, and Rapid Prototyping. Our multidisciplinary team helps clients optimize designs, enhance manufacturability, and accelerate product readiness for the marketplace.

Core Technology Areas

DRL is equipped with advanced tools and facilities across five specialized areas:

  • Polymer 3D Printing: Rapid design validation and prototyping using state-of-the-art additive manufacturing systems.

  • Metal 3D Printing: Production of durable, high-performance parts for industrial, research, and functional testing applications.

  • CNC Machining: Precision machining of metal and polymer components for prototypes and small-scale production.

  • Sheet Metal Fabrication: Design, bending, and forming of metal enclosures, housings, and structural components.

  • PCB Manufacturing and Electronics Assembly: End-to-end electronic product development, including PCB design, prototyping, and small-batch assembly for testing and validation.

Training and Capability Development.

DRL regularly conducts DFMA, Lean Manufacturing, Kaizen, and Continuous Improvement training programs to strengthen local engineering competencies. These initiatives foster a culture of innovation, hands-on learning, and problem-solving aligned with industry needs.

Collaboration and Impact.

Through close collaboration with DTVC’s industrial and academic ecosystem, DRL supports end-to-end product realization—from ideation to prototyping and pilot manufacturing. The Lab also serves as a strategic platform to drive localization, industrial innovation, and sustainability, contributing to the objectives of Saudi Vision 2030.
